Who we are

Who may use an account

You must be 16 or older to create and use an account. By finishing setting up your account you confirm that you are. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 16, we will delete it and its data. You can report such an account to the contact address above with its handle.

You need an account to start a scan on this site. The analyses themselves run in your browser.

What the scores are, and are not

The analyses compare facial proportions with reference values from published norms and a scoring workbook. The scores are for education and aesthetic reference only. They are not a medical, psychological or professional assessment, not a diagnosis, and not a statement about anyone’s worth or attractiveness. Results depend on the photo, the pose, the lighting and where the points are placed; scanning the same face again can give a different score.

Your photos

Only analyse photos you have the right to use. Do not use the site to assess someone else without their consent. Photos are never uploaded or stored by us (see the privacy policy).

Your account

• Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for what is done with your account.
• Choose a handle and display name that do not impersonate anyone and are not offensive. Your handle cannot be changed later.
• You can delete your account, and all its data, at any time from your account page.

Friends and sharing

• Friends add each other by exact handle; there is no search. Nothing is shared until you choose a sharing level for a friend, and you can change or stop it at any time.
• Only accept people you know, and only share what you are comfortable sharing. A friend you share with can see what that level allows, as described on the What my friends can see page, and could copy it while they can see it.
• Do not use the friends feature to harass anyone, to guess whether people use the site, or to collect other people’s results. You can block anyone; a blocked person cannot send you requests.

Fair use

Do not try to get around the site’s limits or security, access other people’s data, or overload the service. There are limits on how often you can send friend requests and save scans.

Ending an account

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or delete an account that breaks these terms or belongs to someone under 16. Unless the law or someone’s safety prevents it, we will first tell you by email what the problem is and give you the chance to reply. If you think we got it wrong, write to the contact address and we will look at it again. Before an account is deleted, you can ask for an export of its data.

No guarantees

The site is provided as it is, free of charge, and may change or stop. We try to keep it running and accurate, but we do not promise that it will always be available, free of errors, or that a score is correct.

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any loss that comes from using the site or relying on a score. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as for harm caused on purpose or through gross negligence, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Nothing in these terms takes away your rights as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.

Changes

If these terms or the privacy policy change in a way that matters, we will ask you to accept the new version the next time you use your account.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Latvia, and disputes go to the courts of Latvia. If you are a consumer living in another country, you keep the protection of that country’s mandatory consumer law, and you can also bring a claim in its courts. Please write to us first; most problems can be sorted out by email.
